Welcome to the next set for Riftbound!

Pre-Rift events are a great way for player's to get a hold of cards from the newest set and what it has to offer.
Pre-Rift Event Kits contain everything a player needs to deckbuilding and begin playing.

What's in a prerelease kit?

○ 1 Mini-preconstructed deck (15 cards including Champion Legend and Champion Unit)
○ 5 Spiritforged Booster Packs
○ 1 Pre-Rift Promo Card

For those new to prerelease, Players will open their Pre-Rift Event Kits and you’ll build a deck of 25 cards and a corresponding Rune deck. Now, here’s where it gets really cool; unlike in standard, your deck doesn’t need to have a Champion Legend or a Chosen Champion (they do not have to match if you do have them), and your deck can be made up of cards from up to three different domains. Once you have your deck built from scratch, you’ll start battling.

Following deck building, each player will participate in 3 "Swiss rounds"- each round players will be paired against another player of similar record for best of 1 matches with a 50 minute timer for each round.

Prizing: Each player will receive a Spiritforged Booster Pack regardless of standing.

How Long does a prerelease last? Most prereleases will last about 4 hours including deck building and playing your games. Players are able to drop from the event at any time and will still receive their 1 pack of prizing.

Account creation details

To make this process easier, we recommend players create a Riot account before starting this setup if they don’t already have one.
● Ensure that your Riot account has both a display Game Name and Tagline assigned (players can set this up through https://account.riotgames.com/).
Note: Game Name and Tagline MUST be manually added when first creating a Riot Account and this is part of how you will link the two accounts so make sure you do this step.
● All players must also have a Carde.io account, and can create one at https://locator.riftbound.uvsgames.com/events if they don’t have one. (if you already have one because you play another game that uses this you can simply log in using those credentials and then continue to link the Riot account you made in the previous step.
● Players must connect their Riot account to their Carde.io account to participate in Riftbound events (they will be prompted to do so when logging in for the first time)
● Once logged in to Carde.io you will be asked to link your Riot account (you can sign in or create one here). You’ll then be asked to authorize the connection between their Riot and Carde.io accounts. Click “Authorize”.

Once all these steps are completed we will be able to register you in the event with your Carde.io account.

If you have any issues with this process feel free to come down early for your first event and we will be happy to assist you with account creation.
