Build your dream super team of Heroes and Villains, then suit them up with iconic gear and unleash their earthshaking abilities. Soar, strike, and smash your way to victory in Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes!

Prerelease is a great opportunity to get your hands on the newest Magic: The Gathering release and explore what the set has to offer. Prerelease Packs contain everything a player needs to be guided through deckbuilding and begin facing off in epic one-on-one matches.

For those new to prerelease, following a brief player meeting, each player will receive a prerelease kit. Players will have up to 60 minutes to open their prerelease kit and build a minimum 40 card deck from what they open and as many basic lands as they need (we have plenty on hand for players to use).

Following deck building, each player will participate in 3 "Swiss rounds"- each round players will be paired against another player of similar record for best 2 out of 3 matches. 

Prizing: Each player will receive an additional 2 Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes Play Boosters when they finish the event.

How Long does a prerelease last? Most prereleases will last about 4 hours including deck building and playing your games. Players are able to drop from the event at any time and will still receive their 2 packs of prizing.

What's in a prerelease kit?

  Each Play Booster contains 14 Magic: The Gathering cards
  • May contain these cards: MSH 1–384; MAR 41–100
    
  • 1–4 cards of rarity rare or higher (2: 27%; 3: 2%; 4: <1%)< /li>
  • 3–5 uncommon cards
  • 6–9 common cards
  • 1 land
  • 1 card of any rarity is traditional foil
  • Foil borderless mythic rare in <1% of boosters
  • Traditional foil land replaces a land in 20% of boosters
