Prerelease is your players' first opportunity to get their hands on the newest Magic: The Gathering release and explore what the set has to offer. Prerelease Packs contain everything a player needs to be guided through deckbuilding and begin facing off in epic one-on-one matches.

Usually players come together and join a prerelease in store. We understand that doesn't work for everyone. For those who can't make it out to one of those events, we offer "Prerelease at home"!

Get together with some friends, or play someone over webcam*, this is your chance to enjoy the prerelease however you want, whenever you want.

Are there prizes for this event? Absolutely! Players who register for the event in the Magic Companion App, will receive an 2 additional Lorwyn Eclipsed Play Boosters. Registration in the app must occur prior to picking up their prerelease kit, or before Thursday January 22nd. (Which ever comes first)

Prerelease at Home Kits can be picked up in store starting 11am Friday January 16th, 2025

Prerelease Kits (whether instore or at home) contain:

• 6 Lorwyn Eclipsed Play Boosters
  • Each Play Booster contains 14 Magic: The Gathering cards
  • May contain these cards: ECL 1–351; SPG 129–148
  • 1–4 cards of rarity rare or higher (2: 27%; 3: 2%; 4: <1%)
  • 3–5 uncommon cards
  • 6–9 common cards
  • 1 land
  • 1 card of any rarity is traditional foil
  • Foil borderless mythic rare in <1% of boosters
  • Traditional foil land replaces a land in 20% of boosters
• 1 traditional foil rare/mythic rare card
• Spindown™ life counter
