Dungeons and Dragons at A Muse N Games

by May 3, 2017

In response to player feedback, effective May 1, 2017 A Muse N Games is making some adjustments to the  Dungeons and Dragons games we host.

Games on Wednesday at 6:00 pm will now have a $3 entry fee (taxes included).
Games on  Sundays at 11:30 am will now have $5 entry fee  (taxes included).

To help improve the player experience, most tables will be limited to 5 players, with a few exceptions at 6. As spots are limited, we will also be implementing online pre-registration so you can ensure your spot on any given night (coming soon). Dungeon Masters will also be able to collect stamps each time they DM and can redeem 16 stamps for a free D&D Adventure book! A DM will receive 1 stamp on Wednesday nights and up to 2 stamps on Sundays.

Interested in trying Dungeons and Dragons for the first time? Come visit our store as we will be giving away First Time Player passes that will allow you to try out D&D for free on one of our nights. Bring some friends or family who has never tried it out and share one of our favourite ways to adventure! Children 12 and under are also allowed accompanying a parent or guardian.

We listen to our players and value their feedback. We understand that players haven’t had the best experience at a sprawling 7 or even 8 player table. We understand that it’s frustrating to come prepared to play at a high-level table, only to find yourself drafting a low-level character because that’s the only space available. These adjustments allow us to incentivize our DMs, and also allows us to start planning ahead so players can start playing on time when they show up for D&D rather than waiting up to 30 minutes while tables are organised.

Thanks to all of our players and our tireless Dungeon Masters!

Below is our current schedule for high-level games being run on Sundays. At the moment, we are accepting first come, first serve registration at the store. Reminder to arrive at least 15 minutes early to make sure there are spots available as each table will be limited at 5 players. There will still be more table for walk-ups and lower level players that show up on time.

Storm King's Thunder

The Story:

http://dnd.wizards.com/dungeons-and-dragons/story
Check out the story for this season and get a preview of what’s gone horribly wrong in the realms that can only be set right by the adventurers.  This time it looks like the giants want to take their shot at conquering the realms, will they fair better than the dragons, elementals and demons tried before?

Adventurers League Players Guide Storm King’s Thunder Edition:

All of the rules specific to Encounters and Expeditions.  This includes character creation rules, detailed information about factions, allowed downtime activities, and handy stuff like spell casting service costs.

Want to know what it takes to run the Storm King’s Thunder modules yourself? Check out this guide of handy information for running Adventurers League modules.  Remember that running games also gets you rewards that you can apply to your Adventurers League characters.

Adventurers League FAQ:

http://dndadventurersleague.org/sage/index.php?title=Frequently_Asked_Questions_(FAQ)
Got questions not covered by the Adventurers League Players Guide?  This is the place to go.  This is updated with new details provided in the FAQ articles on http://dndadventurersleague.org/

Sage Advise:

http://media.wizards.com/2016/downloads/DND/SA-Compendium.pdf
Rules clarifications and links to the errata for Dungeons & Dragons.  Always good to double check to make sure you have the latest information on the rules and are aware of corrections that have been made.

Character Sheets:

http://media.wizards.com/2014/downloads/dnd/5E_CHARACTERSHEETSV3.ZIP
New characters seem to be a common sight around Adventure League tables, more so when new character options become available at the launch of new story lines.  We will continue to provide blanks character sheets in store (and DMs to help you get them filled out) but these have some bonus features.  Not only can you find standard printer friendly versions of all three sheets (character, optional info, and spell sheets) but there are also variant sheet layouts, and form fillable versions (great if you have bad hand writing or want to use a tablet or smart phone for your character sheet).

Adventurers League Log Sheet:

http://media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/DnDAdvLgLogsheet.pdf
While we are fairly casual at our events, if you want to be able to use your characters at other Adventurers League events (other stores, conventions, or home games) you’re going to need some of these to chronicle your character’s career and all the cool loot you got along the way.  Blank log sheets are also available in store, just like blank character sheets.

As always our helpful Dungeon Masters are available in store to answer any questions you may have.

by January 15, 2016

Sunday December 14th we continue Expeditions with the module Defiance in Phlan (DDEX1-1).

“The Cult of the Dragon has come to Phlan, a lawless refuge on the Moonsea.  Now, with no significant authority to stop the cult, other power groups in the Realms — the Harpers, Order of the Gauntlet, Emerald Enclave, Lords’ Alliance, and even the Zhentarim — must unite to stop the cult from fulfilling its dark purpose in the city.” – Wizards of the Coast

New players are always welcome, and sample characters are available to get you right into the action.

Existing D&D Adventure League characters of 1st to 4th level are welcome to participate provided that the character has not already played through this module (Note: You can play through a module you have previously played as many times as you want, you just can’t use the same character to do so).  As a reminder make sure to have your Adventure League Tracking Sheets present and all up to date for any existing character you wish to use.

Lords of Waterdeep

by November 4, 2014
DnD, Dungeons and Dragons, Lords of Waterdeep

Lords of Waterdeep & Scoundrels of Skullport

“Waterdeep, the City of Splendors – the most resplendent jewel in the Forgotten Realms, and a den of political intrigue and shady back-alley dealings. In this game, the players are powerful lords vying for control of this great city. Its treasures and resources are ripe for the taking, and that which cannot be gained through trickery and negotiation must be taken by force!

“In Lords of Waterdeep, a strategy board game for 2-5 players, you take on the role of one of the masked Lords of Waterdeep, secret rulers of the city. Through your agents, you recruit adventurers to go on quests on your behalf, earning rewards and increasing your influence over the city. Expand the city by purchasing new buildings that open up new actions on the board, and hinder – or help – the other lords by playing Intrigue cards to enact your carefully laid plans.

“During the course of play, you may gain points or resources through completing quests, constructing buildings, playing intrigue cards or having other players utilize the buildings you have constructed. At the end of 8 rounds of play, the player who has accrued the most points wins the game.” – Wizards of the Coast
